The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate announced the withdrawal from circulation of a frying pan sold in the Tedi chain of stores. “The product indicated in the message should not be used for contact with food,” we read in the message.
“As a result of official activities of the State Sanitary Inspectorate, the tests revealed the migration of primary aromatic amines into food from the spatula to the frying pan specified below,” the GIS said in a press release.

Frying spatula withdrawn from circulation
GIS reported that the company declared “to remove the product from the sales floor in all stores on November 19, 2024.”
“The authorities of the State Sanitary Inspection, in cooperation with the Polish distributor, are monitoring the process of withdrawing the questioned product,” it was written.
The inspectorate said that “the product described in the announcement should not be used for contact with food.” As added, “first-rate Aromatic amines are substances that may pose a health hazard human beings and should not be present in food.
Warnings regarding food or products that come into contact with food are regularly published on the website of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate. These announcements – as GIS emphasizes – are not intended to stigmatize entrepreneurs, but to take immediate action: returning products to the store or withdrawing them from the assortment.
