The “chasing the cold” from Poland began. We will especially feel it next weekend

Extremely dry February is behind us. According to data from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW), in some parts of the country throughout the month did not fall a drop of rain – this was the case, for example, in Opole. As Tomasz Wasilewski, the presenter of TVNmeteo.pl, explained in the program “Get and weekend”, in many places where precipitation occurred, they were very scanty compared to the average.

– IN Warsaw About 6 liters of water fell per square meter instead of 31 liters normally – he said. – At the start of spring, when plants and romes need water very much, there is no snow from melting (…) There is also no rainfall.

As the presenter explained, the coming days are unlikely to bring a radical change in this matter. Poland was under the influence of the lowland system from the Norwegian Sea, one of the many lowlands currently lying over the northern Atlantic. On Sunday, a warm atmospheric front is moving over our country, which opens the way to a change in weather.

“It's chasing the cold that came over the weekend,” Wasilewski said, pointing to the map. – This front, which is still falling today in the Zamość region, in Podkarpackie (…) opens the road to the influx of warm air. It is wet for now, which is why we do not feel this warming today.

The presenter added that changing the circulation from northern to the west will make more heat reach Poland every day. This is clearly seen on the graph of the temperature forecast for Warsaw – this weekend thermometers in the capital can show up to 15-16 degrees, and in the south of the country values ​​can be even higher, even in the order of 20 degrees Celsius.

– Actually, we add one or two degrees every day – said Wasilewski.
