This barrier, under which so many dramas have taken place in recent years, is becoming not only a technical fortification, but also a symbol of the Western world's fight to demarcate the Russian Mir from the world – said the head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, who paid a visit to the Polish-Polish border on Friday. -Belarusian.
THE HEAD OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY OFFICE, JACEK SIWIERA, WILL BE A GUEST ON FRIDAY'S EDITION OF “FACTS AFTER FACTS” AT 7:30 PM.
The head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, visited the Polish-Belarusian border on Friday. The minister met with representatives of the services responsible for securing the eastern border.
He met with the media at a press briefing near the Połowce-Pieszczatka border crossing. – The barrier that you can observe behind my back today was created during the rule of the United Right and has been improved today. In fact, most of it has been strengthened – he emphasized.
– For the first time, you can document engineering reinforcements, which are the culmination of the experience of these three years, the effects of stretching and forcing this barrier in many different ways, also carried out in recent months. The barrier was structurally strengthened based on the experience gained by both border guards and soldiers, often resulting in injuries, he noted.
Siewiera explained that “engineering reinforcements consist in reinforcement with a double line of beams that prevent the bending of the lamellas that make up the entire barrier, as well as reinforcement in the form of additional concertina coils.”
– The strengthening also involves an additional monitoring area, subject to both infrared night vision observation and observation using lighting – he emphasized. – You can also observe engineering changes related to the construction of such poles, which enable the placement of high-power floodlights that respond to movement, any approach and any attempt to cross the border – he said.
The head of the National Security Bureau stated that “this barrier, under which so many dramas have taken place in recent years, is becoming not only a technical fortification, but also a symbol of the Western world's struggle to demarcate Russian Mir from the world.”
