The Ministry of Culture is dominated by the Father Rydzyk Foundation, a refund of PLN 210 million or a plot

The Ministry of Culture calls on Father Tadeusz Rydzyk to either return 210 million zlotys, or transfer to you a private plot in Toruń, where he built the museum of memory and identity for state money. The money was awarded by the Lux Veritatis Foundation, the previous Minister of Culture. His successor decided that spending millions on construction on a private plot was mismanagement. That is why he threatens the court.

The Ministry of Culture puts an ultimatum to the owner of Radio Maryja and the president of the Lux Veritatis Foundation.

– We want the Foundation to either refund the states incurred to the State Treasury, i.e. over PLN 210 million, or gave the property on which the museum stands, that the State Treasury is secured – says Maciej Wróbel, deputy minister of culture and national heritage from the Civic Coalition.

It is a Museum Memory and Identity in Toruń, which arose thanks to the agreement concluded between the Redemptorist and the Minister of Culture in the Law and Justice government, and more precisely – thanks to the money that Piotr Gliński gave Tadeusz Rydzyk – almost PLN 200 million from public cash.

– Father Rydzyk was supported by PiS because he supported Law and Justice In your commercial media, and now you have to give this money simply – comments Adam Szłapka, minister for the European Union from the Civic Coalition.

“A contract that should never happen”

The contract – after the elections lost by PiS – was broken by the Ministry of Culture. The audit showed that public funds could have been misused because the museum was created on a private plot. If the ministry gives up his co -host – this is the provision in the contract – it loses all rights to it.

– Minister Gliński should answer for signing a contract that should never really happen. And the responsibility of Minister Gliński HERE, of course, is – indicates Joanna Scheuring -Wielgus, MEP of the new left.

The Lux Veritatis Foundation in a published statement states that “in the name of political interest, power deepens the so-called Polish-Polish war, even at the expense of the waste of public funds spent so far for the creation of a state museum.”

– If there is no will from the other side to communicate, of course, the case will find its final in court. We will strive to annul this contract – says Maciej Wróbel.

PLN 400 million for the Rydzka Foundation during the PiS rule

For eight years of PiS rule, the clergy foundation was to receive over PLN 400 million from the public cash register. The Ministry of Culture was the most generous, but it also gave a lot Ministry of Justice. Money also flowed from the Environmental Protection Fund.

– This is simply the fact that in a certain procedure, where various social organizations, various entities, can apply in accordance with the law, just requested an entity that does not like the current authority for political reasons – says Marcin Horała, MP of Law and Justice.

– Jarosław Kaczyński He had a political system with him and paid him for it, but you have to pay with his money, not public money – comments Adam Szłapka.

The ministry audit showed that there were irregularities also when preparing an exhibition at the museum. – The museums did not take part in the shopping of artifacts, only the exhibition designers who made their purchases at EBAY or Allegro, among others – indicates Maciej Wróbel.

And for public money. Lack of a clergy reaction to the ministry's ultimatum will also be a reaction – negative.
