Great insulation is ahead of us. In places at the end of the week, thermometers can show up to 20 degrees Celsius. The synoptic tvnmeteo.pl Tomasz Wakszyński explains step by step what will be responsible for such a large temperature increase in the following days in Poland.
According to forecasts, from Wednesday the maximum temperatures in the south of the country will reach values above 15-16 degrees Celsius. In places on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, values reaching 18-19 degrees C and even 20 degrees C.
Why will it get so warm in Poland? – This is related to the change of the so -called source area, i.e. the place from which the air flows to us – said the synoptic of tvnmeteo.pl Tomasz Wakszyński.
Why will it get so warm in Poland?
– It is the Atlantic, the region of the Azores, that is currently our source area. From the Atlantic, through Western Europe to Central Europe (including Poland) and the Black Sea, warmer, milder polar sea air flows – explained the synoptic of tvnmeteo.pl.
From Thursday, and even more clearly on Friday and Saturday, however, there will be a change.
– The air of tropical origin from Africa will flow to Poland. The reason will be to move away from each other from the Atlantic from those that are now above Hungary. They will move further to the Black Sea. This will lead to a clear change in the axis of the heat wedge. It will be directed from Africa towards us – said Wakszyński. In addition, the maximum temperature values will be “overclocked” by the pheny effect, i.e. warm and dry wind. – It will not be so classic, but periods will help, so it is possible to reach 18-20 degrees – added the synoptic.
On Saturday, according to forecasts in Poland, a plus temperature anomaly can be 10-13 degrees compared to many years. – High temperature and lack of rainfall will create gigantic drought problems in Poland – noted Wakszyński.
