Great moment. Hopes many fly with us – this is the last words of the commander of the mission Peggy Whitson before the start of the Falcon 9 rocket. Among the crew, which on Wednesday morning flew into space, is the Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański -Wiśniewski.

At 8:31 Axiom 4 mission, whose member is Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski, was taken into space by the Falcon 9 rocket. The Polish scientist is the second Pole in space and will be the first on board an international space station.

Just before the start of the command center NASA connected with the crew.

– Great moment. We feel great. Thank you very much to everyone who was involved in this mission. Your passion, your commitment cannot be overestimated. Thank you NASA for your knowledge and your training, 'said Peggy Whitson, the mission commander, the legend of American astronautics, who has already spent over 600 days in space.
