PGE investment in Żarnowiec: The Żarnowiec energy magazine will be the largest in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. His power will be 262 MWand capacity approx. 981 MWh. The investment in Żarnowiec is the most advanced project in the field of energy storage in the Polish energy group. The completion of the investment, which is implemented by LG Energy Solution, is planned in 2027.
“Will catch energy”: The president of PGE Dariusz Marzec said in an interview with the business zone that the company begins a large -scale battery magazine in Żarnowiec “building a new segment of activity”. As he pointed out, large -scale battery magazines “will stabilize the system and will alleviate the inconvenience of overproduction of electricity from renewable sources.” – They will catch this energy, store and give away when this production is not there, i.e. on cloudy days or at night – he emphasized. The magazine in Żarnowiec will be able to power around 50,000 households for 24 hours. In the “target shape” whole The segment could “supply 2.5 million households”.
