Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski with a repealed immunity. The prosecutor's office suspects that a free Republican politician, when he was the minister of agriculture in the Law and Justice government in 2018-2020, did not fulfill his duties and exceeded his rights to obtain financial benefits.
The Sejm repealed the immunity on Thursday Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski (Free Republicans). MPs voted on two points contained in the application, in both cases the resolution was adopted.
433 deputies voted. In the first case there were 238 deputies, 195 was against. During the second voting there were 236 deputies and 197 against. Nobody abstained.

Former PiS minister accused of failure to fulfill his duties
At the beginning of February, the Sejm regulation committee recommended the Sejm to repeal the immunity of Ardanowski. The former Minister of Agriculture assessed that the allegations against him “are absurd” and “undermine trust in him as a public figure and a politician.”
According to the MP, “the allegations will not remain in any court.” He described them several times as “false and harmful”, assured that the State Treasury had not suffered any losses as a result of his actions.
According to the prosecutor's office, Ardanowski, as part of the supervision over the National Agricultural Support Center (KOWR), did not fulfill his duties by ordering – in the case of ESA – and consent – in the case of SMB cooperatives – to grant a bank guarantees by KOWR for both of these entities.
According to the prosecutor's office, the company and the cooperative did not repay financial loans finally granted based on the bank guarantees granted to them. This, in turn, caused the warranty to be launched, as a result the damage was caused on behalf of the Treasury. In the case of ESA, this damage was PLN 100 million, and in the case of SMB cooperatives – PLN 20 million.
