In Mikoszewo in the Pomeranian Voivodeship there is the youngest beach in Poland. The new fragment of the coast was created in February 2025, but as satellite photos from 2017-2025 show, shoreline changes are a consequence of a long-term process of applying sediments. A sandy patch immediately gained considerable popularity.
At the beginning of February 2025, a wave of settlements applied by the Baltic Sea extended the Polish shoreline by about 100 meters, creating a sandy promontory – a new beach – near Mikoszewo in Gdańsk Pomerania. Thanks to the picturesque sea views, the beach quickly became a popular tourist attraction.
An important nature point
As explained by Copernicus, in recent years sea currents have gradually embedded sand along the shoreline near the mouth Vistula. This process is clearly seen in the photos from the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite, taken on March 24, 2017, March 23, 2020 and March 22, 2025. They show the progressive transformation of this seaside landscape and the deposit of sand. In the latest photo, the newly created belt of white beach is perfectly visible. We can also see a tiny promontory, almost connecting the land with the sandy island located off the coast of the Baltic.

The new patch of Poland quickly aroused the interest of Internet users. Changes in the shoreline in the vicinity of Mikoszewo did not escape the attention of Poczta Polska, which gave the postal code 82-103 to a small Cypl. Naturalists ask tourists for prudence during trips to the youngest beach of Poland – the area around Mikoszewo is an important habitat of birds, and too intense traffic can interfere with their peace.
