The CSIRT KNF team warns against the growing threat “flowing from group SMS messages from cybercriminals”. He also emphasizes that fraudsters' actions are “more and more dangerous”.
“We warn about the growing threat flowing from group SMS messages from cyber criminals – their actions are not only more and more dangerous, but also more simplified, creating group chats minimize costs and effort, while sending SMSs to a wide group of potential victims” – wrote a team of cyber security of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (CSIRT KNF) in social media.
CSIRT KNF warns against fraudsters
He explained that “impersonating Pocztex, fraudsters inform about the need to 'update the delivery address'”, while “in fact the link contained in the message directs to the false page for extorting personal data and information about payment cards.”
“Keep increased vigilance and do not click on suspicious links,” the band appealed.
In the next post, CSIRT KNF pointed out that “websites created by cyber criminals often resemble the original ones.”
“As part of our series, we present more examples of false domains used in attacks on electronic banking clients. Be careful and remember to carefully check the address of the page on which you are located” – appealed in a message.
Examples of fake pages with courier services and their real counterparts were also given.
Warnings against fraudsters
