Over PLN 40 million in subsidies from the “Clean Air” program must be returned – reports on Tuesday “Dziennik Gazeta Prawna”. The case affects almost 1.5 thousand people. The reason is irregularities detected during the inspection. Among other things, it is about inflating costs.
“DGP” reached control statistics in this matter. It turns out that NFOŚiGW in 2024 and the first quarter of 2025 already spoke 1.4 thousand. contracts, in 652 cases, the subsidy has been reduced. In total, the fund is to be returned PLN 40.9 million.
Causes
The reasons for the reduction of subsidies to which voivodship funds refer to, among others exceeding the deadline for the implementation of the task or settlement of the advance, overstatement of investment costs, lack of meeting technical requirements, dismantling the device for which funding was received, or leaving inefficient heat sources in buildings. Controls are still ongoing – writes the newspaper.
However, not only beneficiaries, but also performers feel the victims. In their opinion, the inspection also resulted for several months of delays of payments for the services rendered.
“Delays expose us to great financial difficulties and threaten the further functioning of our companies,” writes entrepreneur Michał Sobczyk in an open letter to the prime minister, MKIŚ and WFOŚiGW, who cites the daily.
