The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued first-degree warnings on a three-level, increasing scale.
First degree meteorological warnings – dense fog
Fog warnings apply in the following voivodeships:
- Lubuskiein the following counties: Żary, Słubice, Świebodzin, Zielona Góra, Krosno, Zielona GóraNowy Sól, Żagań, Żary;
- Lower Silesiain the following counties: Bolesławiec, Zgorzelec, Złotoryja, Lwówek, Karkonosze, Jelenia GóraJawor, Kamienna Góra, Świdnica, Wałbrzych, Dzierżoniów, Ząbkowice and Kłodzko;
- Silesianin the following counties: Bieruńsko-Lędziński, Pszczyna, ŻoryJastrzębie-Zdrój, Cieszyn, Bielsko, Bielsko-BiałaŻywiec;
- Lesser Polandoutside the following counties: Tatra, Miechów and Olkusz;
- Podkarpackie;
- Świętokrzyskiein the following counties: Sandomierz, Staszów, Busko and Kazimierz;
- Lublin Provincein the following counties: Tomaszów, Biłgoraj, Zamość, ZamośćJanów and Kraśnicki.
As reported by forecasters IMWMdense fog is forecast, freezing locally, with visibility in places below 100 meters. It may become slippery when the temperature drops below zero.
The phenomenon will end on Monday at 10 a.m.
What are IMWM first degree warnings?
Conditions are expected to favor the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and pose a threat to health and life.
