After a rather difficult and disturbing period, Legia Warszawa finally started to play up to expectations. Trying to end the crisis, coach Goncalo Feio gave up the formation with three defenders and decided to trust Kacper Chodyna, for example, which immediately brought results. Now the Polish runners-up will fight for their second triumph in a row in the Conference League after an unexpected victory against Real Betis. Their rival will be TSC Baćka Topola.

On the way to the league stage, Legia eliminated Caernarfon Town, Broendby and Kosovo's KF Drita from the competition. The Football Meets Data portal reported that thanks to this and the win against Betis, it has already earned EUR 6.685 million (approx. PLN 29 million) and is in 72nd place in the ranking of 108 clubs that are competing in European cups this season. Additionally, the Polish runner-up will receive approximately EUR 2.6 million (PLN 11.3 million) for a place in the UEFA ranking. Currently, he is 87th, with 18,000 points.

Legia's 72nd place is a huge surprise, because thanks to the revenues from the UEFA ranking and television rights, it overtook three teams competing in the Europa League: Belgian Union SG (6.38 million), Swedish Elfsborg (6.3 million) and Latvian FC RFS ( 5.3 million). Of course, this is not the end, as Goncalo Feio's players still have five matches left in the league phase. For each victory they will earn 400,000. euro (PLN 1.7 million), while for a draw it is PLN 133,000. euro (PLN 578 thousand).

Jagiellonia has so far earned significantly less than Legia in European cups – exactly EUR 5.63 million (approx. PLN 24 million).. This is influenced by the UEFA ranking, in which Jagiellonia is only 248th with 5,525 points. And because of this, it will collect “only” EUR 1.53 million (PLN 6.6 million), which is over a million euro less than Legia.

It should also not be forgotten that both teams have a good chance of advancing to the knockout phase of the LK. An additional PLN 800,000 is due for promotion to the 1/8 finals. euro, while advancement to the play-offs (9-24) is worth 200,000. Reaching the quarterfinals is EUR 1.3 million, the semi-finals EUR 2.5 million, and being in the LK final gives at least EUR three million. The winner of the competition will gain EUR 4 million.

Football Meets Data also assessed the chances of all teams to win. The favorites are supposed to be Chelsea (36%), Fiorentina (20%) and… Real Betis (9%). According to the data provided, Legia has only 2 percent. chances for the title, while Jagiellonia only 1 percent.

Legia will play against TSC Baćka Topola on Thursday, October 24 at 21. Jagiellonia will face Petrocub at 18:45.
