After he was released, he did not hide that his survival in such difficult conditions was only possible thanks to the support of a family, which throughout this time did not doubt his innocence.
In 2016, the prosecutor's office again examined the case of Tomasz Komenda. During the analysis of the file, it turned out that there was no evidence in them. Therefore, prosecutors submitted to the Supreme Court application for acquittal of Tomasz, who was previously convicted. Ultimately 1On May 6, 2018, the Supreme Court set aside previous judgments and eventually acquitted Tomasz Komenda.
