Trzaskowski is a president for all times

Members of the Civic Coalition will receive the primary election SMS on November 22, and Internet users who follow the Prime Minister's social media can now vote for one of the two candidates. Donald Tusk announced the primary election poll and announced the results of the big poll on November 18, and the results of the primary elections on November 23.

– We have two great candidates. Everyone has only one vote – commented Marcin Kierwiński – minister for reconstruction after the flood, member of PO.

– Times are difficult and that is why when I say that we need a president for all times, I am talking about experience. We need a president who is experienced in many fields of activity. A president who will be an active and independent president – said Rafał Trzaskowski at an open meeting in Krakow's Nowa Huta.

Earlier, the mayor of Warsaw posted a spot on social media recalling the 2020 election campaign. – What if we did it again, only stronger, even stronger, and better. I'm ready, are you? – he asked in a sweat Rafał Trzaskowski.

On November 15 in Katowice, Radosław Sikorski directly referred to his primary election slogan. – Because times have changed – said Radosław Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

– Rafał was the optimal candidate in 2020 and may be our optimal candidate again in some time, in times of peace, when things calm down, he is young – pointed out Radosław Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Sikorski also published a letter to members of the Civic Coalition with arguments in favor of his candidacy. In it, he argues that the issue of security will be key in the presidential campaign, and assures that he will not give up even in the conditions of a brutal campaign, and that as president, together with Prime Minister Tusk, he can build Poland's diplomatic power.

– Such a trio, i.e. President Trzaskowski, Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, is a dream team – said Cezary Tomczyk, Deputy Minister of National Defense.

Supporters of Rafał Trzaskowski point out that Radosław Sikorski recently returned to national politics. – He is the only one who has been with us in Polish politics for nine months – recalled Cezary Tomczyk. The question arises: will this internal campaign, although it will not be long, actually strengthen the selected candidate? And this in a situation when almost until the last moment it seemed that there was only one?

– Each primary election brings emotions within the party, but also a very good test of the candidates. How they behave in difficult and crisis situations – pointed out Barbara Nowacka. – This is a strong mandate and an obligation to work for the candidate who wins – said Katarzyna Piekarska, MP from the Civic Coalition.

There are already assurances. – I will do everything for him to become president – declares Radosław Sikorski. – In fact, what is at stake is not receiving the nomination of the Civic Coalition, what is at stake is winning these elections – emphasized Michał Szczerba, MEP from the Civic Coalition.

– This will definitely be a difficult campaign, because PiS never minces either words or means. However, this will finally be an honest campaign – commented Monika Rosa, MP from the Civic Coalition.

It is still not known who Law and Justice will field in the presidential race. The symbolic date for revealing the candidate, November 11, is already behind us.

– The Civic Platform is talking about December 7, we want to be there earlier, but please don't rush us so much – commented the president of Law and Justice, Jarosław Kaczyński.

On December 7, the candidate of the Civic Coalition is to be officially presented in Gliwice, but the result of the primary elections will be known on November 23, and Law and Justice is still waiting for the results of the ordered research.

The former Speaker of the Sejm argued that the November 15 meeting of the leadership at the party headquarters did not concern the presidential elections. – There was no party meeting, the meeting concerned other matters. Gentlemen, I will forgive you, but there was no mention of what you wanted to know – said Marek Kuchciński, an MP from Law and Justice.

In PiS, the list of names, and especially the order on the list, is constantly changing. Nobody confirms or denies anything. You can check this based on your social media activity. Both the president of the Institute of National Remembrance, Karol Nawrocki, and former minister Przemysław Czarnek are active. A few days ago, Tobiasz Bocheński also assured that his candidacy was valid.

– First of all, this is not a race for who will announce their candidate first, because the date of the announcement does not indicate whether the candidate will announce success – noted Anna Gembicka, an MP from Law and Justice.

But whether the party has a favorite it is ready to bet on – yes. Szymon Hołownia confirmed his participation in the presidential elections. – I will conduct an honest, fair-play campaign with each candidate – announced the Speaker of the Sejm.

Szymon Hołownia is supposed to be the joint candidate of Third Way, although this case also had different twists. The coalition party PSL came up with the idea of ​​one common candidate for the entire ruling coalition. Even the name of Radosław Sikorski appeared.

– In Poland, we did not receive such signals from the coalition partner in 2050. I think that these statements by Marshal Kamiński were, in some context, speculation about what could potentially happen – commented Jacek Bartmiński, Deputy Minister of State Assets from Poland 2050-Third Way.

At the turn of the year, the Left is also expected to nominate a candidate. – We are in the middle of discussions, we are at the end of the research – she said Dorota Olko, MP of the Left.

Sławomir Mentzen from Konfederacja was the first to enter the presidential race.
