Ukraine's military intelligence (HUR) disabled the Russian minesweeper Alexander Obukhov, which was stationed in Baltiysk and was supposed to be on combat duty. The ship was hit in the gas duct, which caused water to enter the engine. The unit was sent for repairs, HUR announced on Telegram.

“As a result of a successful operation of Ukraine's defense intelligence, the minesweeper of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Federation Aleksandr Obukhov was immobilized. The ship, which was stationed in the city of Baltiysk and was about to enter combat service, suffered serious damage – water entered the engine due to a mysterious hole in the gas channel: Obukhov choked “- we read in the HUR statement.

Another such case

Currently, the Russian minesweeper is undergoing a general overhaul, which may turn out to be a serious problem – the damaged M-503 engine is in short supply. Repairing a key installation on a ship is technically difficult and expensive.

HUR stated that the disabled enemy ship was repaired in St. Petersburg in July of that year.
