Artur Molęda – TVN24 journalist and aviation enthusiast – offers an unusual photo presenting his work on the reportage and the cooperation of Polish-American forces seen from the air.
– There are two American F-35 fighters in this fantastic photo – points out Artur Molęda, a TVN24 journalist. There is also one Polish F-16. This photo is so large and of such good quality that if someone looks closely, they will see that it is me in the co-pilot's seat – says Artur Molęda.
– This international cooperation is very nice to see. (…) On this large, large-format print you can see that there are yellow stripes on the rockets, which means a warhead – notes Bartosz Bera, photographer and author of the photo.
The money is collected for a very important purpose
Every zloty that goes to the account of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is money that will support the youngest patients in the fight against the most difficult diseases this year.
– Children most often suffer from leukemias, then lymphomas and also solid tumors. It so happens that they suffer mainly from brain tumors (…) and any tissue we can think of. We must also remember that, by definition, every disease in a child is a rare disease – says Prof. Wojciech Młynarski, president of the Polish Society of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology.
To effectively fight cancer, you need the right equipment.
– All hemo-oncology, but also medicine, is based on genetic tests. We have great diagnosticians, but we need equipment that will tell us what is in the child's cell – says Prof. Ph.D. n. med. Paweł Łaguna, specialist in pediatric oncology and hematology, head of the Clinical Department of the University Clinical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw.
Data show that cancer is diagnosed in approximately 1,200 children every year. – Each child with cancer is connected to three, four or even six pumps and they work 24 hours a day – says Prof. Wojciech Młynarski. For this reason, the pumps wear out quickly.
Work is in progress on the grounds of the PGE National Stadium, the construction of the main studio and command center for the WOŚP finale, which starts on Sunday, January 26, is underway.
