Unknown perpetrators set fire to the cars of prison guards in France. This is an organized action

This is an unusual attack. Coordinated. Organized in many cities throughout France. Aimed at prison service. On the night of Monday to Tuesday, cars parked in prisoners, nearby and in front of the houses belonging to the guards were burned. One building was shot from a machine gun.

– Fortunately, at the time of the attack no one passed or passed on the other side of the gate. The balls went through, so it could have much more serious consequences. Fortunately, no one was injured – says David Mantion from the Trade Union of Prison Guardians “Ufap -Ensa Justice”.

Attacks on prison or cars occurred, among others, in Tulon, Aix-EN-Provence, Nations, Nanterre and Marseille. Criminals left the same signature everywhere – DDPF shortcut – which is to mean “the laws of French prisoners”.

– The police, authorized to his actions by the National Prosecutor, put a lot of effort into finding the perpetrators. When they are found, they will stand in court, and I hope that they will hear very harsh judgments – says Gerald Darmanin, the Minister of Justice of France.

The French Minister of Justice claims that the attackers are associated with large criminal groups and drug smuggling. A few days ago, the government announced the creation of so -called modular prisons, thanks to which you can quickly and at a low cost you can create an additional three thousand new places for short -term penalties. At the same time, new prisons with a high rigor for particularly dangerous criminals are to be created.

– We hit them where it hurt. For the first time in decades, France is taking decisive action against drug dealers – indicates Gerald Darmanin.

The minister says that it is acts of terror, because it can come to any place and time, and the goal is to undermine the social sense of security. Unfortunately, this turns out to be effective. Prison guards are increasingly frustrated and scared.

– The situation is very tense. We have 82,000 prisoners and 60,000 target. Even worse, we have less and less staff. Only three thousand guards are guarding all these people. Prison employees are terribly tired. It must finally explode – it is not only known whether anger will remain behind the prison walls or will go to the streets – says Wilfried Fonck from the Trade Union of the Prison Guardians “Ufap -Ensa Justice”.

On Wednesday morning there were further arson of cars. Nobody has suffered, but car owners cannot tow them, because for now they are evidence examined by police technicians.

– Car arson happens more and more often. That is why we expect to increase protection in parking lots around prisoners. You can install monitoring, rent protection, send drones. Employees must have absolutely assured safety – he emphasizes Laure Cassier, who works at the State School of Prison Administration.

There are comments on social networks signed with an abbreviation used by attackers. Their authors write that prisoners also have human rights, that prison guards treat them badly and that attacks are an act of desperation, not terror.
