According to data from the Central Statistical Office of April 2024 (published on October 2, 2024), the “Financial and insurance activities” sector had the highest average monthly salary, amounting to PLN 14,381.42 gross.

In the same period, the median salary in this sector was PLN 9,843.42 gross and was in third place, after the “Information and communication” and “Mining and quarrying” sections.

However, the results of the survey among banking employees indicate a slightly different picture of remuneration. As much as 65.6 percent respondents declared earnings equal to or lower than the average salary in the enterprise sector in May 2024, which amounted to PLN 7,999.69 gross.

“However, we must bear in mind the structure of our sample, in which 61.1% of respondents were branch employees, and as our data show – remuneration in positions related to retail and corporate banking is generally lower than in other specializations,” we read in report.

As added, the analysis of Central Statistical Office data also highlights a significant pay gap between women and men in the financial sector. The median salary for men was PLN 12,829.30 and was not only over PLN 4,117 higher than the median salary for women, but also the highest among all sectors analyzed by the Central Statistical Office.

The analysis of remuneration in the banking sector based on data from the Central Statistical Office and the results of a survey among sector employees conducted by Grafton Recruitment indicates significant differences in earnings depending on specialization.

The report shows that employees can count on the highest salaries IT department. Earnings IT director may reach up to PLN 50,000. PLN gross per month. However, the most frequently offered salary for this position is PLN 45,000. zloty. An IT infrastructure manager earns from PLN 30,000. PLN up to PLN 35,000 PLN, just like a cloud security engineer. In turn, the remuneration of the manager of the risk reporting team is a maximum of PLN 30,000. PLN, and a risk management consultant – PLN 25,000. zloty.

Salaries around PLN 30,000. employees can also earn PLN a month in banking financial department. Here, the highest earnings can be expected by: accounting policy manager (from PLN 22,000 to PLN 32,000), tax manager (from PLN 20,000 to PLN 30,000) and product control manager (from 18 PLN thousand to PLN 30 thousand). A financial data analyst earns from PLN 10,000. PLN up to 15 thousand zloty.

From 18 thousand PLN up to 28 thousand A customer service director can earn PLN in the operations department. The salary of a customer implementation manager ranges from PLN 15,000. PLN up to 22 thousand PLN, and a manager for banking operations – from PLN 16,000. PLN up to 23 thousand zloty.
