What is the atmosphere before rallies where the Republican Party seeks support for its candidates for president and vice president of the United States? This was shown by the correspondent of “Fakty” TVN24, Marcin Wrona, who on Tuesday observed the preparations for the event with JD Vance in Michigan and took part in it.
The correspondent of “Fakty” TVN24, Marcin Wrona, was on Tuesday at the rally of the Republican candidate for vice president, JD Vance. Wrona arrived on site ahead of the event in Saginaw, Michigan, and observed preparations for the rally.
He reported on TVN24 that Saginaw is a small town with about 40,000 people. It is located in a state that is one of seven so-called swing states, i.e. those where the outcome of the vote is extremely difficult to predict.

Characteristic colors, flag motifs and a well-known slogan. Wrona on preparations for the rally
Wrona spoke briefly on TVN24 to one of the listeners waiting for the rally. As the journalist noted, the man was wearing a red suit, which is associated with the Republican Party, and a baseball cap in the same color with Trump's slogan “Make America Great Again”. He also wore a US flag tie.
As Wrona described, the plan was for JD Vance to “enter the stage, give his speech on that stage and quickly run off the stage, because two hours later he has a rally in another place in Michigan.” – This shows how intense the campaign becomes at its very end – he noted.
The correspondent also shared an interesting fact that 800,000 voters in Michigan have Polish roots, which constitutes almost 9 percent of the population of the entire state. However, he admitted that he did not find any representatives of the Polish community among those gathered.
– Interestingly, he won in Saginaw four years ago Joe Biden. Donald Trump he lost to Biden in this small town by about 3.5 thousand votes – said the journalist. – When we look at pollsit is clear that in all these swing states, the candidates are exactly neck and neck. As such, any rally like the one in a small venue in Saginaw, Michigan, can make a huge difference. Because these few hundred additional votes in one direction or the other may affect the final election result in a given state – he emphasized.
Live music is a regular guest at rallies
When the correspondent of “Fakty” TVN was walking through the room where the rally was to take place, a musician appeared on the stage with a guitar in his hand and a hat on his head. Wrona explained that the “preliminary program” of the event was starting. – And music, and speeches. This is what Republican rallies look like in those states that may decide who will be the American president, he pointed out.
He also said that “the music we mainly hear at such meetings is country music.” – This is the music of the American Midwest, this is the music of people who work on the land, this is the music of people who come from small towns – he said.
– There was also a band playing in front of this room and it played very well. He played mainly hits that we have known for years, but also with a country tinge – he admitted, adding that it was “a note of reaching for American roots”.
Wrona also recorded a short video of preparations for the republican event, which appeared on the tvn24.pl Instagram profile. First, he shared a tip on how to correctly say the name of the town of Saginaw. He also showed what the room he was in looked like.
There was speech and attacks against Harris
The rally took place in the afternoon Polish time on Tuesday. Wrona noted that Vance did not spare attacks against the vice president, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
– I think in seven days the great state of Michigan will tell Kamala Harris: We don't want any more of your word salads, we don't want any more of your rotten politics. You're fired, go back to California where you belong. We want a real president who fights for the interests of Americans, Vance said.
