Information provided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) shows that the perpetrator of the terrorist attack in New Orleans acted alone. Reuters revealed recordings showing the attack carried out by Shamsud-Din Jabbar.

On Wednesday morning, Shamsud-Din Jabbar, driving a white pickup truck, broke through police barricades and drove into a crowd of people on Bourbon Street in the tourist center of New Orleans, in the French Quarter. He then took out a rifle and started shooting, slightly injuring two policemen. He died on the spot.

“We do not assess at this point that anyone other than Shamsud-Din Jabbar was involved in this attack,” Christopher Rai of the FBI said at a conference in New Orleans. He added that the services are confident in their assessment based on the interrogations conducted and the content found on the attacker's phones and computers.
