In mid-September this year Oleksandr Usyk was detained at the airport in Krakow because he was not allowed to fly by the carrier. This caused great outrage among the Ukrainian authorities, including President Volodymyr Zelensky. Usyk was supposed to fly with Ryanair to Thessaloniki, but instead, in accordance with procedures, it was handled by the Airport Security Service, which then handed it over to the Border Guard. However, he was released from custody very quickly.
“Dear friends, there was a misunderstanding that was quickly cleared up. Respect to the Polish Police for performing their duties regardless of height, weight, status or achievements” – he wrote.
Oleksandr Usyk surprised. What a metamorphosis
After leaving prison, the Ukrainian boxer focuses on… preparations for the rematch with Tyson Fury, which will take place on December 21 in Riyadh. Usyk spends his free time from training, among other things, using social media. Recently, he decided to create an account on TikTok. On Tuesday, October 22, he published the first video in this application, in which he invites you to follow his account.
“Hi everyone, this is my official TikTok account. Please follow it. Have a nice day,” he said in his debut video, in which he presented a sample of his football skills.
However, it wasn't his decent ball control that caught fans' attention, but his shaved head and lack of a mustache. “New version”, “Next time please leave the mustache and hair”, “Cossack”, “Legend”, “Master”, “The greatest of all!” – we read.
Oleksandr Usyk is the undisputed world champion in boxing heavyweight organization WBCWBA, WBO, IBF and IBO.
