Today, Ukrainians celebrate the third Christmas during the war, unfortunately not everyone can celebrate it fully, said the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in a recording published on social media on Tuesday. – Today we are next to each other. We won't get lost. Whether in person or in our minds, we will call our parents, kiss our children, hug our relatives, and remember our loved ones. And as long as we do this, evil has no chance, he emphasized.

-Tonight is special. Christmas Eve. This is our third Christmas during the war. Our big Ukrainian family cannot celebrate fully – as we would like, as it should be. We're not all at home. Unfortunately, not everyone has a house. And, unfortunately, not everyone is with us, Volodmyr Zelensky said on Tuesday in a recording published on social media.

The president emphasized that Ukrainians have not lost their values ​​and called to honor the memory of all those who gave their lives for their country. – Ukraine He also prays for all those on the front line to return alive and for all those in captivity to return home, he added.

“As long as we do this, evil has no chance”

The leader went on to say that “for the second time in modern history, Christmas unites all Ukrainians.” He recalled that this is because from 2023 the official date of celebrating the holiday has been changed – the faithful of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church celebrate Christmas on December 25. The day before, Christmas Eve is celebrated.

According to him, the unity of Ukrainians and mutual cordiality is the true spirit of Christmas, carrying a unique atmosphere “that we will keep within ourselves and share with those who are close to us.” – With everyone we love. With everyone who is dear to us, he added.

Wishes from Zelensky

The President of Ukraine wished that “the light of faith will reign in the souls of Ukrainians, the light of hope will fill their hearts, and love and prosperity will fill every home.”

– May God protect you, your families, our Ukraine. With his help, let all the evil that has come to our house disappear. And let goodness and justice reign in its place. Let there be peace and abundance. And let every child be healthy, he concluded.
