Chase along Wągrowca streets. A drunk driver Audi hit a parked car and tried to escape. The plans were thwarted by a woman who witnessed the incident. She not only alerted the services, but also followed the escaping perpetrator. In the approach to a drunk driver, a policeman accidentally helped.
It started with an inconspicuous collision, ended with the streets of Wągrowiec (Greater Poland Voivodeship). The application was received on Monday. A woman called the emergency number who suspected that the driver who was driving in front of her was drunk. She followed him for some time, finally saw him try to park and hit one of the cars. The impact force was so great that the car was on the road.
– The applicant gave the operator the registration number of the perpetrator and the exact place where they are. She was afraid that this driver would leave in a moment because he did not stop in the attempt to fire the vehicle. “Help me keep him”
The woman was following the black Audi. When at the intersection of Cisterska and Opacka Cars stopped at the traffic lights, the driver jumped out of the car and shouted to another driver “Help me to stop him”.
– She was not aware that she asked a policeman with 20 years of service for help. He realized that the car's mask was damaged, hence his reaction was immediate. The policeman immobilized the vehicle, took the driver's keys and overpowered in the vehicle, preventing him from leaving – said Zieliński.
