Warming in Poland. 30 degrees and storms. The weather will be “typical of summer”

On Thursday, the weather in Poland is shaped by the Bay of Norman from the Norwegian Sea, with a zone of wavy cool atmospheric front. Behind him, cooler polar air from the Atlantic flows to Poland. During the day, the front and the rainfall related to it are to move over the eastern provinces, where it can also sound. On the western Poland, during the day, the boom wedge from France will expand, which in this part of the country will bring a cheerful and calm aura, but only for a moment. Already late in the evening in the sky there will be an increase in cloudiness associated with the warm atmospheric front zone, which on Friday will bring not only poor rainfall, but also clear warming.

At the same time, heat from North West Africa will be sucked above the Iberian Peninsula. Two systems are responsible for this: Wyż Vanessa located today on France and small than from Morocco.

In the following days this wedge will develop, and this thanks to the slight displacement of Vanessa boom in the east and its center on Sunday, June 1 on Italy. Such a system is to promote the influx of warm tropical masses into our region of Europe. The temperature at a height of 1.5 km above Poland will not be as high as above Spain, although above the southern ends of Poland can increase to 15 degrees Celsius. Thus, the temperature at the ground has a chance to exceed 25 degrees C. In the light of the latest calculations of the GFS model, the temperature in the southwest of Poland and in the center can reach 27-28 degrees in the afternoon. It is possible that somewhere in the Sudeten Foothills, values ​​will increase to 30 degrees C.

The latest forecasts estimate that a cool atmospheric front is to enter the western regions of Poland on June 1, pushed by the masses of the polar air from the Atlantic. Thus, the inflow of hot over Poland will be inhibited, which was strong in forecasts a few days ago. The pushing cold can favor the strong development of bushy cloudiness and storm clouds, carrying storms at the belt from the Sudetes, through Greater Poland, to Kujawy and Warmia. There may be rainfall with a total of at least 30 liters per square meter, hail is not excluded. The front has a good chance of transforming into a typical storm line for the summer, carrying the risk of flooding.
