Warsaw. A security guard from the Central Station shocked a drunk woman with a stun gun.

Two months ago, two security guards from the Central Station intervened against a drunk young woman sitting on the mezzanine in a restaurant. One of them grabbed a 19-year-old woman and shocked her several times with a stun gun. The case went to court.

The spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, Piotr Antoni Skiba, announced the indictment against the security guard at the Central Station.

As he explained in the statement, the 44-year-old is suspected of “that on November 6, 2024 in Warsaw, in the premises of the McDonald's restaurant, located on the mezzanine of the Warsaw Central Railway Station, while performing the duties of a qualified physical security employee, he exceeded his powers, violating the property personal injury of the identified injured party in the form of her bodily inviolability, by using physical force by pulling her around the head and using a stun gun against her three times.

“Mariusz Ś., who was interrogated during the preparatory proceedings, confessed to the act he was accused of and refused to provide explanations,” said prosecutor Skiba.

The man faces from three months to five years in prison. “Moreover, if the court agrees to classify the act as an offense of a hooligan nature, when imposing a penalty for the above-mentioned offense, it may increase it in terms of the lower limits of criminal liability,” the prosecutor noted.

The man had no previous convictions.

The case, which resulted in an indictment against the security guard, was described by “Gazeta Stołeczna”.

The incident occurred on the night of November 5-6, 2024. As an eyewitness to the event reported in an interview with “Stołeczna”, a young woman was sitting in a restaurant at the Central Railway Station. At one point, two security guards approached her. There was no contact with the drunk woman. She did not respond to the security guards' screams and their orders to leave the premises. – Since they failed to wake her up, one of the security guards used a stun gun. First he hit her in the arm, and a moment later in the stomach. The girl was slightly twitching, but still kept her head on the table, said the witness.

Ultimately, the woman was taken to a sobering-up station by city guards called to the scene.
