They have three stomachs and three eyelids

Alpacas belong to the order of parish -utilic mammals, camel families. They come from South America, but they are not in wild. They are bred in the Andes. Alpacas are smaller than LAM, reach 128–151 cm long, at a height of 80-100 cm and body weight 55-85 kg.

An interesting fact is that alpacas have three stomachs and three eyelids. Third eyelid, so -called Bigotka, moves horizontally, from the conjunctival outside the eye. In addition to the third eyelid, the alpacas have horizontal shutters in both eyeballs, at the top and bottom of the eye. They resemble a comb. They have a protective function of the eye against the strong action of the high -mountain sun. If the sunlight is very strong, the upper and lower comb connect with each other.
