Trams will not run through the Avenue of Independence, Rakowiecka, Bobola and Wołoska. It will last from Saturday and to the end of the picnic, later the movement will be partially restored. The changes are also waiting for drivers. A fragment of the road in the area of the Pole Mokotowskie metro station will be closed until the middle of the holiday. Driving towards Ursynów will be possible with detours. The reason is the construction of a new section of the tram line.

- In Mokotów, the construction of a tram route on Rakowiecka is underway, enabling access by tram from Sielc, Stegien or Wilanów in the SGH area, Pole Mokotowskie metro station and a series of Independence Avenue.
- In connection with the next stage of work from Saturday, April 26, the organization of traffic and public transport will change. Drivers and passengers await difficulties.

- Drivers will not be able to take the Independence Avenue towards Ursynów. In the area of Pole Mokotowskie Metro Station, Ruch will only take place along the road towards the center. Only selected vehicles will be able to go in the opposite direction.
The next stage of works related to the construction of a new section of the track on Rakowiecka, which is part of the route to Wilanów and peripheral connection between the capital districts, is approaching. In less than three weeks, the contractor is to start works at the construction of a turnout at the intersection with Aleja Niepodległości.
Already on Saturday, April 26, the first changes in traffic organization will appear in the investment area. The western road of Aleja Niepodległości will be closed on the section from Batory Street to Narbutta. At the same time, the layout on the eastern road will change. Two lanes will be available towards the center, while the third will be used for driving in the opposite direction, but it will be reserved for buses, admitted vehicles (DOP) and vehicles commuting to the property along Aleja Niepodległości.
Other drivers driving towards Ursynów will have to use detours. They were marked out on two routes: along Batory Street to Puławska and Batory to Wołoska.
In addition, on the section from the National Library to the intersection from Stefan Batory, public transport buses will go with a temporary bus lane.

“Such an organization of traffic will apply until the turn of July and August. The traffic will be postponed between the roads of Aleja Niepodległości as the works progress. Important restrictions in the band's bandwidth will persist until the end of the year” – warn officials.

Changes in trams running
The tram traffic will be suspended on Saturday in Aleja Niepodległości, on Rakowiecka, Bobola and Wołoska. The reason is the beginning of the construction of a temporary overlay switch in Aleja Niepodległości over the Pole Mokotowskie metro station. By the way, there will also be renovation works of the turnout at the Kielecka loop and repair of the tram track at the intersections of Wołoska from Dąbrowski and Kulski.
“Line trams running 14 and 71 will be suspended. The route of trams will change 17 – They will reach the town of Wilanów. The route from the intersection of Aleja Niepodległości and Nowowiejska will lead through Nowowiejska, Marszałkowska, Puławska, Goworka, Spacerowa, Belwederska, Jan III Sobieski and Aleja Rzeczpospolita ” – announces the town hall.
While the line compositions 33 They will be directed to Narutowicza Square. This means that from Aleja Niepodległości they will turn into Nowowiejska Street and go Krzywickiego and Filter. Line bus route 119 It will be extended to Plac Konstytucji – buses will go straight along Puławska Street and then Waryńskiego. The replacement line buses will start running Z-1. Difficulties on Wołoska and Starościńska
In connection with the renovation of the journey through Wołoska Street, drivers should expect changes in traffic organization. They will apply from Tuesday, April 29 from 00.15. At the height of Kulskiego and Madalińskiego streets it will not be possible to pass through the track. This means that a trip to Wołoska from these streets will only be possible to the right. Closed episodes can be avoided by turning back at Żaryn or Odyniec. Line buses during work 138 and 168 will change the routes. Difficulties will end on Saturday, 3 May around 3.30.
Also on Tuesday, at 6.00 the tram will close Starościńska Street at the intersection with Rakowiecka. There will be a two -way movement there. Drivers will also go in both directions on Rejtana Street – on the section from Starościńska to Sandomierska. In addition, there will be parking bans on Rejtana and Starórska. “Transfer from Narbutt to Rakowiecka will, as before, through Wiśniowa Street. Return, however – along Kazimierzowska Street. The reconstruction of the intersection of Starórska and Rakowiecka will last a few weeks” – we read in the town hall message.

Changes after the picnic
From Monday, May 5, tram traffic will return partly at al. Niepodległości and Wołoska, Saint. Passengers will still be able to use replacement buses Z-1but their route will be shorter (from the Pole Mokotowskie metro station to Woronicza Street). The next stage of work – in August
Passengers should only expect further changes in tram traffic. Then the tram will conduct works related to connecting a new traction network.
They will also renovate the track at the intersection of Aleja Niepodległości and Avenue of the People's Army. Trams will not run between Nowowiejska and Kielecka Loop at this stage, and in the following weeks – to Woronicz.
“Tram communication on the route of Aleja Niepodległości, Rakowiecka, St. Bobola and Wołoska will be fully restored in September” – announces the town hall.
New tram route on Rakowiecka
The new section of the track on Rakowiecka will count about a kilometer. The town hall reminds that a year ago a turnout was made at the intersection of Puławska and Rakowiecka. Work on connecting the traction network remains here.
In addition, construction and finishing of the track on the section from Puławska to Sandomierska are taking place. In turn, in the further section, i.e. to Aleja Niepodległości, a collision is being rebuilt. The contractor also started work on the target road system.
Tramwajers are planning that the new tram route will be launched by the end of the year.
