There was a collision between a passenger car and two trams in Aleja Jana Pawła II. One person from the car was taken to the care of an ambulance crew. There were difficulties in tram traffic.
The incident took place on Tuesday evening near the intersection with Elektoralna Street. – The incident was reported at 7:52 p.m. Two trams took part: 17 and 33 and an Opel passenger car. The police are on site. The services are underway. There are difficulties in tram traffic – said junior trainee Kamil Sobótka from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.
In turn, senior aspirant Bogdan Smoter from the capital's fire brigade informed that one person from the passenger car was injured. – She's conscious. He is under the care of the emergency medical team, the firefighter said.
As we found out, ultimately the driver did not require hospitalization. He was fined for causing a collision.
The Municipal Transport Authority warned about difficulties in tram traffic: “Due to a road accident at the intersection of Aleja Jana Pawła II – Elektoralna and blocking of traffic in both directions, lines 17 and 33 are being diverted to the following streets: – al. Jana Pawła II – Rondo ONZ – Prosta – Kasprzaka – Skierniewicka – Wolska – Al. Solidarności – Jana Pawła II –…”.
