On Christmas Eve, the services evacuated several hundred people from Chopin Airport. The reason was luggage left by one of the travelers. Pyrotechnicians took part in the action.
According to Chopin Airport spokeswoman Anna Dermont, the reason for the evacuation of 300 people from the Chopin Airport terminal on Christmas Eve was unattended luggage.
– The Border Guard ordered an evacuation and examination of the luggage, which was found to be safe after checking. We appeal to passengers to be careful – any luggage without visible supervision is treated by airport services as a potential threat, which involves initiating appropriate security procedures, such as evacuating the port – appealed the spokeswoman.
Dermont also assured that the mining and pyrotechnic activities carried out did not cause any delays in flight operations and the airport operated normally.
