The prosecutor's office discontinued the investigation into the pilot of the Cessna 150 aircraft, which last year landed in an emergency in a wetland near Józefów near Warsaw. – Emergency landing was dangerous, but not on such a scale to talk about a disaster – said a representative of the capital's prosecutor's office.

Investigation discontinued

The Warsaw-Praga Południe District Prosecutor's Office was investigating this matter. It concerned “bringing the direct danger of a disaster in air traffic” for which there is eight years in prison.

The proceedings were completed at the end of January. – The investigation has been discontinued – confirmed us prosecutor Norbert Antoni Woliński, spokesman for the Warsaw -Praga District Prosecutor's Office.

He noted that investigators did not find a crime in this matter.

The main proof was the report of the State Air Accident Investigation Commission. – The prosecutor in the justification emphasized that the direct cause of the incident was the pilot's error – the spokesman told us.

It was established, however, that this was not enough to attribute a crime from Article 174 of the Penal Code. – Emergency landing was dangerous, but not on such a scale to talk about the disaster – Woliński informed.

He further noted that two people were threatened: a pilot and a passenger who did not suffer serious injuries. In addition, the aircraft landed in marshy, uninhabited areas.
