A wheelchair fell into the channel at the Prague port. The owner was helped by city guards and river police. The extraction of the stroller was a complicated task, specialized equipment was needed.

The evening was approaching, on March 25, when the alarming notification was received by the city guards, regarding a young man with disabledness, whose wheelchair inadvertently fought to the channel in the Prague port.

“The 21 -year -old is a person in the crisis of homelessness, moving only thanks to the wheelchair. As he said, he had to get off the seat for a moment to repack his things and then the cart rolled into the water” – the city guard described the event.

Specialized equipment was needed

Pulling the cart from the water turned out to be a difficult task. He stuck among the branches, surrounded by icy water.

The guards calmed down the nervous man and notified colleagues from the police station, which is located near the channel. “Using specialized equipment, officers barely extracted the stroller. He was soaked and dirty, but was suitable for further use” – added city guards.
