Kacper Kozłowski was already on the list of players called up for the October UEFA Nations League matches with Portugal and Croatia. Unfortunately, he left the training camp due to an injury.
Touchstone loses a player just before national team matches
It seemed that luck would finally smile on Kozłowski, but it would have to wait a while. He will not be able to play against Portugal or Scotland in November, i.e. in the last two matches of the LN group stage.
According to the website matchyki.plthe midfielder complains about a calf injury, which excludes him from participating in the next national team training camp.
Kozłowski may be unlucky as he misses the second training camp in a row due to health problems.
Coach Michał Probierz began to pay attention to the 21-year-old this season. Kozłowski is doing quite well for the Turkish Gaziantep FK. In nine games he scored one goal and made three assists.
According to “Meczyk”, Probierz wants to replace the injured Kozłowski with Michael Ameyaw, who looked good during his debut training camp last month. However, the Raków Częstochowa winger also needs to recover from the injury. Due to health problems, he was not on the first list of those drafted. The final decision is expected to be made within a few days.
Poland will play against Portugal away on November 15. Three days later, they will finish the group competition with a match against Scotland in Warsaw. The goal is to stay in Division A of the Nations League. Third place in the group will qualify for play-offs to stay in the elite.
