So far, October average temperature is recorded above the norm for this period, mainly in the north-west – up to 2 degrees C above the long-term norm. According to medium-term forecasts, the beginning of the week will also be quite warm. However, you should take into account a large amplitude of air temperature between day and night. There will also be frosts and showers here and there rain. So let's check what awaits us this week.
Monday
In recent days, we have been accompanied by an extensive high pressure center, which brings beautiful weather. However, in the north of Poland the influence of a deep low from the Norwegian Sea will be noticeable, and its system of atmospheric fronts will hit the north of Poland. Light rainfall is possible there.
A strong high pressure system will move south from our country, bringing the sunniest weather mainly to Podkarpacie, Lesser Poland, and the province. Silesia and Świętokrzyskie. In the west, the temperature will reach 18-19°C, the coldest in Gdańsk Pomerania, Warmia and Mazury and in the province. Podlaskie, up to 13-14°C. In the mountains and in the north, the temperature will be felt lower due to… windwhich can be quite strong in gusts.
Tuesday
It will be another warm day, with temperatures reaching up to approximately 19°C. in the west and in the center. In the rest of the country we will see a maximum of 17°C and more clear weather. The moving front may bring further rainfall in the north, northwest and center. At times there will be stronger winds on the coast and in the mountains.
Wednesday
On Wednesday, the cold front will move further to the southeast. Rainfall may occur in the north, northeast and south. It will become slightly colder, from 12-13°C in the northeast, to 14/15°C in the center and west – we will also see fewer clouds there.
In the second half of the week, thanks to another high pressure that is already around the corner, weather conditions will improve and there will be no significant rainfall.
Thursday and Friday
On Thursday and Friday it will be favorable for well-being. The sun will accompany us most of the day, except for the north-eastern regions, where it may sprinkle symbolically.
The temperature will range from 15 to 16 °C in the west, 13-14 °C in the center, and 12-13 °C in the north-eastern corners. Let's be careful fog! Poor visibility at night and in the morning will affect especially the south and east of the country.
The predictions of numerical models at the end of the week are not yet consistent. However, there is a chance for a weekend favorable for trips with plenty of sun and the warmest conditions in the south and center, when we could feel up to 18 ° C. The second variant assumes the transition of the rainfall zone from the west to the south-east of the country, with the accompanying temperature behind the atmospheric front zone – not exceeding 10 ° C during the day. Even though the days will be noticeably warm, there may be night and morning frosts mainly in the south and east during the week. A cloudless sky will favor the radiation of heat accumulating during the day. This is an inevitable nature of autumn that we have to get used to, especially as the days get shorter.
