11-year-old Sławomir D. is to spend 11 years in prison, who in Podkarpackie (Podkarpackie) entered the Ford into two pedestrians. A 25-year-old man did not survive, a 21-year-old woman was hospitalized.
The verdict in this case was passed on February 7 at the District Court in Ropczyce. The court found Sławomir D. guilty of causing a fatal accident and driving a vehicle in a state of intoxication. He sentenced him to 11 years in prison. In addition, he ruled a lifetime ban on driving all motor vehicles. Sławomir D. is also to pay 40 thousand. PLN to the father of the deceased 25-year-old and 50,000 his mother.
Sławomir D. has not been punished yet. The verdict is unlawful.
He went for alcohol, entered pedestrians
The accident occurred in July 16, 2023 after 10pm in the village of Piewmyśl. According to investigators, Sławomir D. drink alcohol on the night preceding the accident. On Saturday, after waking up, he continued to drink with a friend. When they were alcohol in the evening, the man got behind the wheel of the car and went to the gas station to buy drinks. Sławomir D. Half an hour after the accident was tested by a breathalyzer, he was drunk, the device indicated 1.22 mg/l in the exhaled air, or over two per mille.
Sławomir D. and the 48-year-old who drove with him by car was detained by the police.

The police determined that it was Sławomir D. from the Świlcza commune drove the vehicle at the time of the incident. “Gathered by officers, the evidence allowed him to present him with a fatal accident and drunk driving. The man confessed to the charges against him and explained in this case” – the police said at that time.
