Great investment: WP Holding signed a framework agreement to acquire 100 percent. shares of Invia Group. It operates in the tourism industry and is responsible for services primarily in Germany, but also in Austria, SwitzerlandCzech Republic, SlovakiaHungary and Poland. The entire transaction may amount to over PLN 1 billionalthough it can be stopped by, among others, Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.
There has never been such a transaction before: Jacek Åšwiderski, president of the management board of Wirtualna Polska Holding, said that if the investment is successfully completed, “it will be the largest investment of a Polish, non-state company in Germany and the fifth largest foreign M&A transaction of such a company in history.” This is an important investment for WP because it may cause the tourism industry to generate the majority of the holding's revenues and profits for the first time.
