Completely giving up donating: Offering machines are devices that allow you to make a donation using a payment card or BLIK. There are parishes where this method has become so popular that… cash donations were completely abandoned. Their originator, Karol Sobczyk, knows about two such churches. One of them is the parish of Jesus in Poznań, popularly known as Latin. The parish priest, Fr. Radek Rakowski notes that this makes parish finances more transparent.
Portable terminals in churches: – It is probable that in some churches, apart from offering offerings an electronic tray will appeari.e. the possibility of making a non-cash donation using a portable terminal that will wander around the church during the Holy Mass – says Karol Sobczyk.
Victims are the future: Karol Sobczyk claims that, according to his knowledge, the victims were did not result in a reduction in donation proceeds. The originator of the devices believes that eventually most parishes will introduce cashless offerings. As he says, satisfied parish priests encourage parish priests from other parishes to adopt this solution.
5 years of donations: The first offerings appeared in Polish churches in 2019 and since then they have been distributed to several hundred temples. The revolution began in the Lublin Archcathedral and in the church of St. Maksymilian Maria Kolbe in Kraków-Mistrzejowice.
