On Thursday evening, a 17-year-old was hit at a pedestrian crossing in Żyrardów (Masovian Voivodeship). An LPR helicopter landed on site. The injured person was taken to hospital. A moment earlier, in the same city, a driver hit a woman at a crossing and drove away.
– After 6 p.m. in Żyrardów, at Jaktorowska Street, a 32-year-old BMW driver hit a 17-year-old crossing the zebra crossing. As a result of his injuries, the injured party was transported to hospital. The driver was sober – said junior officer Patrycja Sochacka from the District Police Headquarters in Żyrardów. She added that the police are conducting activities at the scene and will investigate the circumstances of the incident.
– The collision occurred on a pedestrian crossing. The car and the person hit are quite far from the lanes. An LPR helicopter landed on the spot, there are also firefighters – said tvnwarszawa.pl reporter Artur Węgrzynowicz.

The policewoman reported one more incident that day. – On 1 Maja Street, around 4 p.m., a 35-year-old woman was hit at a pedestrian crossing by a Seat driver. The injured person was transported by the emergency medical team to the hospital. The perpetrator left the scene. Activities are underway to determine it, the spokeswoman for the Żyrardów police told us.
