“Morawiecki in Bucharest was supported by George Simiona in the election of president of Romania. He is the leader of the pro -Russian and anti -European Aur party. Romania is a key partner in defense of the eastern border of the Union and NATO. They don't even pretend anymore” – wrote as the head of government.
Morawiecki also referred to Tusk's words on Platform X. “A political child of a German -Russian reset, for which we pay a huge price today, should rather be silent. Possibly apologize,” he wrote.
George Simion is headed by the radical right -wing Aur party (a relationship for the unity of Romanians), which in the December parliamentary elections won 18 percent, taking second place and double the result from four years ago. On Friday, Simiona submitted his candidacy at the Romanian National Electoral Office. In Bucharest he was accompanied by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki (PIS), chairman of European conservatives and reformers. Morawiecki at a press conference in Bucharest supported Simion's candidacy. He said he had been to Washington with George Simion several times recently and saw his actions. – I saw him talking to very important people from the American administration and the Republican party. And this is what we need in Europe – more cooperation between the United States and the European Union. I am absolutely sure that if it is a choice of Romanians and if George Simion is chosen, it will be a stabilizing force not only for Romaniabut also for the entire European Union – said the former prime minister. He added that he came to Bucharest as the chairman of the EKR, “to support George Simiona and support democracy in Romania.” Romania is an important partner for all of Central Europe. Poland and Romania, Polish and Romanian conservative parties can be a bastion of stabilization, security and economic development in this part of Europe. Poland and Romania Together, as friends, can be a development locomotive for the entire region – said PiS politician. The leader of the AUR right -wing party (Union of Romanians) George Simion announced a start in the May presidential election on Wednesday. It happened after the constitutional court decided to prevent the current leader to the election polls Calina Georgescu – a right -wing policy proclaiming, among others anti -voltage and isolationist views. He supported Simills, but his support was also received by Anamaria Gavrila from Pot (a party of young people). Gavrila and Simions say that one of them will give up candidacy. Calin Georgescu in November last year unexpectedly won the first round of presidential elections, which were then annulled by the Constitutional Court. The reason for this decision was given, among others abuse during the campaign. The decision to annul the elections has become the cause of protests that have recently occurred in the Romanian capital.
