Local government officials got wands with the name of the voivode. The office explains: it's a kind of symbol

The Warmian-Masurian voivode presented funding for road construction and renovation in a rather unusual way. The wand was on the slogan: “The miracle of infrastructure”, and “The miracle worker” was mentioned by name – Radosław Król, the Voivode of Warmian -Masurian.

– The wands handed during the event were a kind of symbol, a tool that was not so much to cover reality, but to emphasize infrastructure needs – explains Szymon Tarasewicz from the Warmian -Masurian Voivodship Office in Olsztyn.

The wands cost PLN 750. – Let this wand symbolize this miracle, which will be departed just before your eyes – said the voivode during the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, in thanks for the “conjured” money, the gifted money waved. The head of the Grodziczno commune also got a wand. – Nobody told anyone to wave. Of course, it was voluntary. Some, of course, stood for this, but here the promotional effect on this occasion I think it was actually preserved – assures Tomasz Szczepański.

Unexpectedly, the Warmian-Masurian Voivode also convened a conference to show an email he accidentally got from the Polish Press Agency on the wands. – A journalist of the Polish Press Agency writes to the second PAP journalist that I have to laugh at Poland – said Radosław Król and at the same time appealed to look at the case. – While guarding the media honesty, I appeal to the leadership of the Polish Press Agency and to the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for immediate drawing of consequences – he added. The management draws the consequences. He kindly reminds the voivode that “revealing correspondence, which is not an addressee, constitutes a violation of law. The message about the wands meets the agency standards of impartiality.”
