The Municipal Transport Board signed contracts for the next three years with Mazowieckie Railways and Warsaw's access rail on the offer of a joint ticket – ZTM spokesman Tomasz Kunert said.

Until the end of March 2028, one ticket, which has been operating in Warsaw in Warsaw, on trains of Koleje Mazowieckie and the Warsaw access railway, will continue to be operating for 20 years.

Thanks to the offer of a joint ZTM-KM-WKD ticket, passengers with a daily or longer ZTM ticket, a senior and a large family ticket can travel by trains of Koleje Mazowieckie and Warsaw travel railways in a specific zone-without having to buy an additional train ticket.

Three -year contract

“A joint ZTM-KM-WKD ticket is not only convenience in everyday travels, but also measurable financial benefits-you can save even several hundred zlotys a year. The environmental protection aspect is also important-rail transport is considered the most ecological”-noted the director of ZTM Katarzyna Strzegowska.

Further city agreements with Railways Mazowiecki and Warsaw's access rail were concluded for three years – from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2028.

“The value of the agreement with Mazowieckie Railways is over PLN 828 million gross (this year over PLN 206 million gross), as far as WKD – PLN 66 million gross (of which over PLN 15 million gross this year)” – said Kunert.

A common ticket zone

Based on the new agreement, passengers will be able to use the offer of a joint ZTM-KM-WKD ticket on train trains Mazowieckie on the agglomeration of limited stations: Warsaw Ursus Niedźwiadek, Warsaw Gołąbki, Warsaw Choszczówka, Warsaw Wola Grzybowska, Warsaw Zacisze-Vilnius, Warsaw Mokry Łą, Warsaw Falenica, Warsaw Lakes, Warsaw Chopin Airport-based on tickets valid in I ticket zone.

And also on sections in the 2nd ZTM ticket zone: Warsaw Ursus Niedźwiadek – Pruszków, Warsaw Gołąbki – Płochocin, Warsaw Choszczówka – Legionowo Przystanek, Warsaw Choszczówka – Legionowo Piaski, Warsaw Zacisze – Vilnius – Zagościniec, Warsaw Mokry Ług – Zagościniec, Warsaw Wola Grzybowska – Otolanica, Warsaw Śródborów, Warsaw Jeziorki – Zalesie Górne and Legionowo Przystanek – Legionowo Piaski, based on tickets valid in I and II or in the 2nd ZTM ticket zone.

In addition, disposable interchange and temporary tickets will be honored on trains KM serving rail connections with Chopin Airport only on the Warsaw Płudy section – Warsaw Chopin Airport.

WKD trains can be used in the area limited by Warsaw-Śródmieście WKD-Opacz.

“The zone reaches several kilometers outside Warsaw”

“Zone of the joint ZTM-KM-WKD ticket reaches a dozen or so kilometers outside Warsaw. Residents of municipalities adjacent to the capital can reach one of the stations connected to Warsaw's communication and change to the tram, bus or metro, which they can 'break up' throughout the capital; especially that thanks to municipalities, municipalities can encode metropolitan tickets (30 90 -day) at a lower price, “said Kunert.

The green and white trains of the Masovian carrier stop in the heart of Warsaw-at the Warsaw Śródmieście station and near the station of both metro lines: Centrum, Dworzec Gdański, National Stadium, Wilen Dworzec, Młynów.

In the capital, KM trains are complemented by a municipal communication network in the center of Warsaw and on its outskirts – because they run in Wawra, Białołęka, Targówek, Ursynów, Ursus and Italy. The connections of KM complement each other with the Warsaw SKM – they reach further into the province, and on the sections of routes common with SKM, where there are the most passengers, trains at stations appear more often.
