On Saturday in Grodna (Wielkopolskie) there was an accident on the Warsaw-Poznań railway line. The passenger car entered the journey and hit the Intercity train. He stopped only 10 kilometers away.

At the beginning, the driver did not realize that such an event had happened and was informed about it by another driver – said the representative of PKP Intercity.

– The force of the impact was not high, it did not cause permanent damage to the train, which only had scratches. Nothing happened to anyone, and the composition itself was suitable for further driving. With the consent of the train on duty, the driver went on. He stopped only at the Koło station, where the police decided that the composition could not continue further driving – she added.

One person needed help

The car remained at the railroad crossing in the village of Grodna. Two people traveled with it, who were conscious after the incident.

– One was given first aid, the other refused to help. The passenger who received the qualified first aid is looked after by the Medical Rescue Team. Another train invaded this event, but he stopped at a safe distance – said Wojciechowska.

Railway traffic on the Warsaw -Znanień route was suspended in both directions. – The trail at the request of the services is closed.
