Warsaw's Old Town will soon be transformed into the cultural center of the capital. On the 71st anniversary of the reconstruction of the Old Town Market Square, 40 institutions have prepared nearly 100 cultural attractions. Among the most interesting are visits to art studios, concerts and workshops. The events are scheduled from July 19 to 21.
On Saturday at 10:00 The Sto Pociech Foundation at ul. Freta 20/24A will host workshops called “Warsaw Embroidery on Paper” for children aged 8-12. Duration: 1.5 hours. Registration required.
The next art workshops – “Two Artists in the Old Town” will be held in the Kann Family studio at ul. Mostowa 16/18 lok. 50. The classes are addressed to children aged 8-10. Duration 1.5 hours. Registration at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
In turn, young people and adults will be able to take part in workshops with various experiments entitled “The Sound of Colors: Exploring the Synergy Between Sound and Color”, which will be held at Jagoda Przybylak's photography studio at ul. Piwna 31/33 lok. 14. Registration has closed.
About renovations of tenement houses
On Sunday, conservators will talk about the renovation of five old town houses (pl. Zamkowy 1/13, Rynek Starego Miasta 21, Rynek Starego Miasta 21a, Krzywe Koło 2/4, Krzywe Koło 30) renovated thanks to city subsidies. Participants in the walk will learn more about the secrets of the conservators' work, the difficulties they encountered during the renovations and the techniques they used. The “Old Town Conservation” walk will start at 10 a.m. at Sigismund's Column and will last 2 hours.
In hours 11.00 -14.00 historical art studios will be open to visitors. This is an opportunity to visit these unique places that are not accessible on a daily basis, to learn about the biographies and work of the artists who used them. Participation in the event does not require registration. The order of visiting the studios below is optional.

Events at the Museum of Warsaw and a concert
The celebration will start in Friday, July 19 at 5:00 p.m., a concert by the Czessband band and the senior group Cała Praga Śpiewa. An hour later, the star of the evening will perform – Molestation Event.
On the next birthday – Saturday, July 20 – including lectures on the history and reconstruction of the Old Town. The secrets of its architecture will also be told during one of the lessons in Ukrainian. Saturday is also a good day to see many exhibitions or take part in the proposed guided tours, e.g. at the seat of the Association of Art Historians or at the Monument Interpretation Centre. There, at 10:00 a.m., “The Story of Rebuilt Warsaw” is planned – a guided tour for people with intellectual disabilities, and two hours later for the deaf, with interpretation into Polish sign language. In the evening, there will be a performance by the Aga Zaryan Quintet at the 30th International Open-Air Festival Jazz in the Old Town. Aga Zaryan is the first Polish artist to release albums under the legendary Blue Note Records label from New York and one of the best Polish jazz vocalists.
Breakfast and a show
A multicultural breakfast will kick off the third day of celebrations. On Sunday, July 21st at the common table in front of the Museum of Warsaw there will be a Latin-style breakfast, hosted by José Torres, a Cuban-Polish musician, virtuoso of percussion instruments, initiator of the first salsa orchestra Jose Torres y Salsa Tropical. On the same day, many attractions await the youngest. The Museum of Literature invites you at 12:00 to the Musical Journeys of Pchła Szachrajka – an interactive performance for children aged 4-10. The performance is based on the texts of classic Polish children's poetry: Jan Brzechwa and Julian Tuwim.
“Those who like to discover secrets will be interested in lectures and walks. The Old Town will reveal nooks and crannies that are not normally accessible, such as closed courtyards or basements. An interesting event will also be an ornithological walk with Staszek Łubieński. Participants will be able to learn what species of birds fly around the Old Town and how to find them, as well as spot them through binoculars” – the capital city hall encourages people to take part in the events.
