Tarzymiechy Drugie. The roller went off the road

A 63-year-old man in Tarzymiechy Drugie (Lublin Province) was paving a road with a roller. At one point, he drove too close to the edge. The roller turned over on its side and landed in a field. The man was taken to hospital.

Senior Sergeant Grzegorz Kucharski from the District Police Headquarters in Krasnystaw says in a statement that it was an unusual report.

On Friday (23 August) at approximately 11 a.m. in the town of Tarzymiechy Drugie a road roller overturned.

He drove too close to the edge

Police officers dispatched to the scene determined that a 63-year-old resident of Krasnostaw County was hardening the road with aggregate, at one point he drove the roller too close to the edge of the roadway.

The result was that the vehicle turned over on its side and landed in a field.

He was sober

The 63-year-old managed to leave the cabin on his own. Alcohol tests showed he was sober. He also had all the required qualifications.

“Due to the injuries he sustained, he was taken to hospital, where after tests he was released to go home,” informs Senior Asp. Kucharski.
