A fire broke out in a tenement house on Piastów Street in Szczecin. 18 people were evacuated from the building. Firefighters found a body in the apartment on fire. Two women with symptoms of poisoning from fire gases were taken to hospital. Four fire brigades, police and ambulance services are working on the scene.
Information about the appearance of fire on the third floor of the building on Piastów Street was received by the services at 5:30 a.m. Junior Brigadier Tomasz Kubiak, spokesman for the Provincial Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Szczecin, reported that 18 people were evacuated from the building.
– A body was found in the apartment on fire, and two women were taken to hospital with symptoms of fire gas poisoning – Kubiak said.
It is not yet known what caused the fire.

Four fire brigades, police and ambulance are working on site. Aleja Piastów towards the Szarych Szeregów roundabout is closed.
