The Kłodzko commune has warned residents of another flood wave. “Residents of: Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie, Żelazno and Krosnowice. Another wave is approaching, about a meter larger” – the alarm was sent on social media. The water is also rising in other places in the heavily flooded city of Kłodzko. – All we have left is rescue operations – said the mayor of the city, Michał Piszko. The TVN24 camera recorded how firefighters helped local residents evacuate.
“Attention, attention Residents of: Ołdrzychowice Kłodzkie, Żelazno and Krosnowice. Another wave is approaching, larger by about 1 m. We ask everyone to secure their property and move to higher floors!” – informed the Commune of Kłodzko on Facebook.

After the dam in Stronie Śląskie bursts, the flood wave rises through the Biała Lądecka River and flows into the Nysa Kłodzka, whose level in Kłodzko has risen rapidly. The water is rising in other places in the heavily flooded city.
The mayor of Kłodzko, Michał Piszko, said that the situation was “dramatic”. – The water has overflowed the embankments on Malczewskiego Street. There is already over one and a half meters of water there. The residents who did not want to evacuate tonight are on the second or third floor of the buildings. The water is pouring in and flooding individual parts of the city – said the mayor.
There is even two meters of water in the city in some places, the water gauge on the Nysa Kłodzka in Kłodzko shows 684 cm.

Boats from the 22nd Mountain Infantry Battalion are being used to help people in flooded buildings. – Soldiers will sail to Piasek Island and Malczewskiego Street and take those who agree to evacuation, and we will provide provisions to those who do not agree – said the mayor. He added that all heavy equipment that has been used in Kłodzko so far has been transferred to Lądek-Zdrój and Stronie Śląskie. The Biała Lądecka River flows through these towns.
Piszko said that in Kłodzko there is “only a rescue operation”. – This is the provision of water and food to the residents – he said. The mayor informed that there is no water in the taps in Kłodzko, and most likely in a few hours the gas will also be cut off. – There is a problem with odorizing the gas in the gasworks. It cannot flow to the suppliers without having this odorization – explained the mayor.
The TVN24 camera recorded how firefighters helped residents of Kłodzko evacuate. The recordings show how they pulled people from the roof of one of the buildings. The firefighters evacuated, among others, a several-year-old girl.
