A 27-year-old resident of PrzemyĆl needed a bouquet of flowers for his partner. He didn't have any money, so he broke through the flower stand and stole the finished bouquet. The man was charged with burglary and property damage, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
As aspirant Joanna Golisz from the police station in PrzemyĆl said on Friday, this story began in August. It was then that the officers received a report of a theft and burglary of a vending machine where you can buy bouquets of flowers. The camera recorded how a young man damaged the door securing the flowers, stole one of the bouquets, then got on a bicycle and rode away with the prize.
The police found the thief, and investigators charged the 27-year-old with burglary and property damage. The owner of the flower stand estimated the losses at approximately PLN 2,000.
“During the interrogation, the suspect admitted his guilt. He explained that he urgently needed flowers for his partner, and because he could not make the payment, he forced the door and took the bouquet,” said Asp. Joanna Golisz.

Now the case will be dealt with by the court. The Penal Code provides for a penalty of up to 10 years in prison for burglary, and up to 5 years for damaging someone else's property.
