He added that the investment involves the use of green hydrogen in industry and the automotive sector.

There is a technology partner

– We want to build a hydrogen factory because it will be a game changer for the entire region. We want to be the first in this, we have established milestones. The initiator of this project is the Minister of Industry (Marzena – ed.) Czarnecka. We will probably allocate it in Silesia, Dąbrowski pointed out.

He also said that next year, in the first phase of the investment, ARP will invest PLN 600 million in the hydrogen project. – Ultimately, the investment will cost EUR 1.5 – 2 billion – he said. Representatives of the Industrial Development Agency indicated that the agency wants to use the funds available in the European Hydrogen Bank. They added that the IDA's goal is to have the largest number of elements in the entire product chain – both its own technology, hydrogen production, and ideas for its use in various sectors of the economy, e.g. in green ammonia factories.

What is green hydrogen?

Green hydrogen is produced in the process of water electrolysis using energy from renewable sources. It is used as an energy carrier in fuel cells in road transport and railways. Green hydrogen can also be used in the energy and heating industries in the process of decarbonization of these sectors and in the refining industry for the production of fuels, the chemical industry for the production of fertilizers (green ammonia) and chemicals.

ARP is a State Treasury company that offers services for companies, including investment co-financing, consulting, assistance in raising capital and expansion into foreign markets. He also manages a group of companies from various industries.
