Jarosław Kaczyński about the presidential candidate: our problem is that there are ties

President of Law and Justice Jarosław Kaczyński he was asked at a press conference in the Sejm about the internal “race” in the party in which the candidate will be selected PIS for president. – Our problem is that there are draws. There are different levels of comparison, different criteria. Even in some of these studies there are a dozen of them (criteria – ed.), it is scored. Later, when it comes to summaries, we have draws. That's the problem, Kaczyński admitted.

– If there were no draws, perhaps the decision would have already been made. In short: we have a lot of good candidates, he said.

The former Minister of National Defense also commented on the issue of the internal choices of the PiS candidate in the presidential election, Mariusz Błaszczak. – Just a moment and we will present a candidate who will have a chance to win – he emphasized.

Jarosław Kaczyński also criticized the government's migration strategy for 2025-2030. According to Kaczyński, the document lacks a notice of termination of the EU migration pact, as well as provisions on the protection of the western border, because – as he said – “Germany provides us with migrants.”

– There is a lot about adapting our society to their (migrants') presence. On simplifying legalization procedures and, finally, on creating centers where immigrants will stay. There are to be 49 such centers. This suggests the idea that in every former voivodeship (…) there will be such a center, although the order of division may also be different – said the PiS president.

– Does this mean that any problems have been solved? No, because on the one hand there is talk of suspending the right to asylum, which is a very complicated legal issue, but on the other hand there is also talk of simplified procedures, Kaczyński added.

According to him, the document “prepares the introduction of a multi-cultural policy and a migration pact in Poland.” – We reject this and propose a test here, a test of true intentions. This test is the only real way to prevent Poland from finding itself in a situation similar to Western European countries, namely a situation of increased crime, said the president.

The PiS president stated that if the prime minister wanted to show that he really wants to oppose the dangers associated with migration, he should sign the citizens' request for a referendum on the migration pact initiated by PiS.

– If Donald Tusk would like to show that he really wants to oppose these dangers, here is a card that is used to collect signatures for a referendum regarding the immigration pact: for or against. If Donald Tusk signed such a card, it would actually be possible to say that a radical change in attitude would somehow be credible – he said, showing a form with the question “Are you in favor of rejecting the forced admission of migrants?”
