He drank a lot, but he came for more. An employee of one of the gas stations near Pułtusk prevented the drunk driver from driving any further. The woman took the 44-year-old's keys.
On Saturday afternoon, a resident of the Winnica commune drove to a gas station to buy beer and vodka.
She ran after the driver and took his keys
A station employee noticed that the man was probably drunk and started observing him. The police emphasized that the woman showed great responsibility and vigilance, and her attitude was worth imitating.
– When the 44-year-old did some shopping, he went to the car and intended to drive away. Seeing this, the woman ran after him, took the keys to the Opel and called the police, said junior aspirant Magdalena Bielińska from the Pułtusk police.
The breathalyzer showed more than three permille
The officers tested the man with a breathalyzer. It turned out that he had over three per mille of alcohol in his body. They detained the 44-year-old's driving license and put his car in a police parking lot.
Now a resident of Winnica will appear in court for driving under the influence of alcohol. He faces up to three years in prison.
